Min Ah tossed her bag and threw her body on her bed. She could hear her sister who was still scolding her knowing her little sister skipped her lessons at school. Min Ah ignored her, she just wanted to have a nice and peace sleep.
But again, the ring from her phone distracted her.
Min Ah moaned, she really wanted to throw her phone and pretend he didn’t hear it, but when she looked at the screen to check who was disturbing her when she wanted to get sleep, she decided not to do that.
Min Ah answered the phone,
“Yoboseyo, oppa?” Min Ah answered it with a sighed.
“Min Ah, what are you doing? Are you in school right now?” Asked someone over the phone.
“Uhm… well… yes, it’s break time now.” Min Ah lied. She didn’t want someone else to scold her again, her sister was enough to make her day even worse.
“Study well~” Min Ah could hear the other voice giggled at the end. She scoffed, he should try being in my shoes.
“Tomorrow you will have your first interview at 10 in the morning, don’t forget to set your alarm. I will pick you up at 9, you get it?”
“Got it, see you tomorrow, oppa.” She ended up the call before her manager even say goodbye.
Min Ah turned her body so her face now facing the pillow. She was punching the side of her bed before she shouted out of her anger, luckily, her pillow reduced the sound that she made so his sister couldn’t hear it.
“I AM FREAKING TIRED I NEED SOME SLEEPS DON’T YOU GET IT PEOPLE?!”
Min Ah threw all of her pillow on her bed,
“SCREW THIS, I DON’T NEED THESE PILLOWS ANYMORE SINCE I WON’T EVEN HAVE A CHANCE TO SLEEP!”
Surprisingly, the last pillow she threw landed on her sister face as she opened the door.
“YAH SONG MIN AH! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!”
Min Ah breathed heavily, dang it! Everyone has been so annoying today!
She lied down on the bed and turned her body to the wall. She didn’t want to have any conversation with anyone—including her own sister. For the first time in her life, she really wanted everybody was vanished from the world. Or probably she could be the one who just vanished.
“Seriously, what is wrong with you?”
Min Ah felt his sister voice was softer this time, that meant his sister wanted her to tell what the hell was really wrong.
Min Ah, in the other hand, didn’t hate her sister. The fact was she and her sister were close to each other. Her sister was the only person who seemed to understand her. She could be such an ass sometimes when she teased Min Ah for being so childish and unladylike, but she was the one Min Ah trust all this time.
Not until Min Ah got so busy with her new life; a new life of being an idol.
That day, Min Ah and her sister were casually hang out together when suddenly someone tapped her shoulder.
“Do you want to be an idol?”
The thought of being an idol never came to Min Ah’s mind, because it was not her style. She was indeed a pretty lady—she had small lips, pointed nose, double eyed-lids eyes, and beautiful wavy brown hair. Her height was slightly above the average of other girls at her age, and that made her looked so cute yet mature at the same time. But she never thought they could be idol materials.
In fact, Min Ah was too careless to care. As her sister told her, she was unladylike—she didn’t even remember the last time she went to salon. She loved spending her time on her own, and she hated being in a crowded places.
So there, she could just reject that person’s offer.
But she didn’t. Her sister told her that it could be her chance to achieve her dream of being a professional dancer. At first, Min Ah was in doubt. Yes, she wanted to be a professional dancer since she was a kid, but it wasn’t this kind of dancer. She wanted to enjoy herself when she finally became one; no stresses, no enforcement—while she aware becoming an idol meant she had some regulations that she had to obey, and she didn’t like it.
But being a good little sister, she always trusted the older one.
Min Ah was the last member to join 90liners, her new family. The group consisted of four girls who were born in the year of 90s—the leader named Park Yoon Mi who was born in 1991 and being the oldest of the members, the second oldest named Nae Sa Rang, born in 1992, Im Min Hee who was one year older from Min Ah, and then there was herself, who was turned out became the maknae of the group.
“As the maknae, you have to be cheerful, childish, and ladylike.”
Min Ah shivered when she knew that she had to totally change her personalities to be the maknae of the group. That made her even surer that she didn’t want to do this idol thing.
But what could she do? She had joined and signed the contract. Her parents even agreed about this thing, because they probably knew their youngest daughter wouldn’t be doing good in school neither— they had the same thought as Min Ah’s sister because they sure Min Ah would enjoy this more than school.
But no, she didn’t.
“I’ll do it, in one condition.”
They were all confused. Two hours ago they were all arguing because Min Ah wanted to cancel her contract with the management. It was not an easy thing to do since the management had told the media about the new group that had been going to debut—90liners. Even though they hadn’t told the media about the members of the group, but it surely would be hard to find the substitute for Min Ah in less of time.
“Introduce me as another person.”
Their jaws were dropped as they heard what Min Ah said.
“Find me another name, I don’t want to be known as Song Min Ah. And make sure my stylist knows how to change me into another person.”
“But that would be really hard, Min Ah! It wasn’t just about the appearance, someday people would demand you to show your real self!”
“I won’t. I don’t want to.”
They sighed as they could do nothing but accept what Min Ah had offered.
Min Ah came back from her deep thought. Her sister was already sit beside her, stroking her wavy brown hair.
“It’s been a while since we talked, “
Min Ah felt warm when she heard the soft voice of her sister. She turned her back so she could face her.
“You have been so busy lately, even busier than me!” Her sister smiled, Min Ah knew she was being sarcastic; and that’s because her sister missed her. And so did she.
“I only slept two hours last night,” Min Ah finally told her, “I never felt so tired in my life.”
Her sister smiled, but this time there was a sad feeling from her smile. Part of her felt sad because she was the one who forced her little sister to took the opportunity, but she never meant to see her favorite and the only one sister to look deadly tired and stressed like this.
But the other part of her was proud. Maybe because it was just a week ago after her sister did her debut, and she didn’t even have any idea that her sister would make it this far. From that, she grew a belief that her sister would overcome this hard situation, sooner or later.
“I knew, and I am proud of you.” She flicked Min Ah forehead and caused a confused looked on the younger’s eyes.
“Why did you do it?!” She stroked her forehead that was slowly turned red.
“Because you can’t use that as an excuse to skip your lesson!”
Min Ah growled as she set herself facing the wall again, “I thought you wanted me to tell you my problems!”
Her sister laughed and hugged her little sister, “Well yes I want! For now you can use that excuse, now tell me other things that are bothering you!”
Min Ah smiled, “Well… yesterday the manager…”
And they were having a warm-siblings-conversation, just like the old days.

“What is her name?” Kyungsoo asked his closest friend, Kai, as he scanning the student book.
“Song Min Ah,” Kai answered him right before he found the picture of Min Ah in the student book.
“This crazy girl!” Kyungsoo slapped the page that has the information about Min Ah, “This girl will be totally dead.”
Kai giggled, “You always have problem with girls.” Kai patted his childhood friend’s back, “You are aware that they are all just crazy over you, right?”
Kyungsoo scoffed, “Like you are not as famous as I am, doh.”
Kai smirked, “Well but we are apparently very different—I appreciate them, and you don’t.”
Kyungsoo were still staring at Min Ah’s picture, “They are all useless. They do nothing but fangirling over someone. And their voices are annoying.”
Kai laughed, “Like you don’t fanb—“
“SHUT UP!” Kyungsoo involuntary threw the student book to Kai’s stomach, “Don’t you dare bring that up.” He gave his friend a dead stare.
“Well, okay...” Kai shrugged, his friend’s stare was scary that it was enough to stop someone’s heartbeat.
“Anyway, what did Min Ah do?”, Kai opened the student book that Kyungsoo threw and find Min Ah’s page, “How did this pretty girl make you mad? Did she grab your hair so she could have a strand of your hair like the last week’s girl did?”
Kyungsoo shook his head, “She said she didn’t want to join my stupid event.”
Kai was taken aback, but then he looked pretty impressed, “Wow. She said that?”
Kyungsoo nodded, “She is the one who’s stupid. I will definitely make her join our event, even I’ll make her to be the biggest donator of this upcoming event.” Kyungsoo smirked, there were something in his eyes and Kai knew what it was exactly— a determination.
Kai rolled his eyes,
There he goes again.
“I’m home.”
After took off his shoes and put it on the locker, Kyungsoo realized there was no one in his home but himself. He walked towards the kitchen and found a small note was stuck on the refrigerator
I’m going to my friend’s home,
There are some leftovers in the ref.
Heated it before you eat.
Mom.
Kyungsoo sighed. He, once again, had to have dinner all by himself. His father was too busy with his business that he had to going to other countries and his mom was too busy with her own world with her friends. Being the only child in the family made him sad, but he didn’t want to have any siblings neither.
He opened his bedroom’s door. It was really quite; he could hear his own breath. He put his bag on his chair laid himself on the bed before he decided to check out his secret box.
He walked towards the cupboard and trying to reach a black box that was placed on the top of it. Once he got it, he cleaned the dust that filled the cover.
Do not touch.
Kyungsoo smiled as he read what he wrote on the cover of the box. He just left the box for a week and there were so much dust on it. He had to find a new place to hide his precious box.
His heart started to beat while staring at the box. He wanted to open the box, but he wasn’t really ready to feel that feeling again—an extremely weird kind of happiness. He had been trying to stay away from the box since last week, and surprisingly, he made it. He didn’t want to ruin his new achievement by simply open the goddamn box.
But today was hard for him and he had been under pressure. He knew the only thing that could make him feel relief is hidden in that box.
Just for today.
He slowly opened the black box, and he smiled widely as he looked at his collection of Hyeong Ji Ah—the maknae of 90lines. Photocard, poster, and mini standee—you could find everything with Ji Ah’s face on them.
He picked a mini standee of Ji Ah and staring at the mini standee with even a bigger smile.
“Hi, Ji Ah-ssi,”
Why am I so pathetic?
Kyungsoo sighed, “if only you were just an ordinary person like me.”
